Energy Efficiency as a Locational Resource

Learn how Energy Trust of Oregon and Pacific Power are deploying Energy Efficiency as a strategy for reducing peak demand in capacity constrained regions. Our speakers will present the results of their Targeted Load Management (TLM) project in the North Santiam Valley and provide an overview of the next phase of the TLM project currently underway in Southern Oregon.

Guest Speakers:

Quinn Cherf

Quinn Cherf is a senior project manager at Energy Trust of Oregon, where she leads cross-functional teams focused on identifying new strategies to reduce peak demand in geographically targeted areas. Currently she is responsible for managing and implementing two complex and innovative location and community-targeted energy efficiency and renewable energy pilot projects. Working collaboratively with Energy Trust utility partners, the projects aim to reduce peak load capacity constraints by using targeted energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.

Prior to joining Energy Trust, Quinn worked in the United States Antarctic Program, deploying to McMurdo Station to manage the hazardous waste department and spill response teams. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and is PMP certified.

Angela Long

Angela Long is a Planning Manager for PacifiCorp’s Customer Solutions teams. Angela is responsible for demand-side management (DSM) and distributed energy resource (DER) program planning, design and valuation. In her role, she supports multiple internal departments and serves externally as a company liaison and subject matter expert to organizations such as state commissions, DSM and DER stakeholders, Northwest Power and Conservation Council (NWPCC), Regional Technical Forum (RTF), Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO), and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Angela has over 10 years of experience in energy conservation for the public and private sector and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a specialization in energy efficiency and renewable energy from Ohio State University.
