- Networking – Meet and mingle with the movers and shakers of our profession at our chapter meetings and AEE-sponsored events. At AEE conferences and expos, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with colleagues, experts, and instructors from diverse disciplines within the energy industry. This also includes the annual AEE Columbia Chapter Holiday Party and multiple on-site building tours.
- Professional Training – AEE seminars, conferences, and on-line training provide many of the tools you need to stay up to speed in all aspects of the fast-changing energy profession. This includes the very popular Energy Engineering Forums that provide Professional Development certificates to members who attend.
- Educational Opportunities – AEE members get invited to participate unique building tours to help illustrate energy engineering in-person and meet with other industry rock stars.
- Awards, Certifications – AEE gives special recognition awards on local, regional, and international levels for achievements in the energy field. Each year, thousands of professionals have used AEE professional certifications to advance their careers. The AEE Columbia Chapter also bestows the coveted Wrench of the Year award at to the hard-working people who work on buildings. This also includes the Certified Energy Manager training offered by the AEE Columbia Chapter.

Benefits of Being a National Member
- Ability to join your local AEE chapter – You can only gain access to your local AEE Chapter by being an AEE National member.
- Access to AEE Publications – AEE members automatically receive complimentary subscriptions to four professional publications: Energy Engineering, Strategic Planning for Energy & the Environment, Energy & Power Management, and AEE Energy Insight.
- Salary and Market Survey – Industry surveys keep you in touch with market trends, what your peers are earning, and your position in the marketplace.

Becoming a Member

Columbia River Chapter membership is a secondary step in the registration process and can be easy to overlook. When registering for AEE National you will have the option to join our local Columbia River Chapter for only $25.
Select the additional option for becoming a “Columbia River Chapter” member during the registration process to ensure that you qualify for many additional benefits of our local chapter.
The Association of Energy Engineers national dues are $195/year.
